Very hot autumn outfit in style of 1947-1948s with real vintage wrap sundress & eco-friendly handmade half hat

It just so happened that the final design of the half hat did not come to me and my friend photographer Alexandrina Wasiliewa-Szylowska immediately. But now we are happy with this hat. 





It turned out lightweight, airy, elegant, in the spirit of almost the beginning of the "New Look", the late 1940s and early 1950s.

 




This hat is again completely eco-friendly and sustainable, like our white knitted half hat (which I already showed in the article “Very hot autumn outfit in style of 1955 with eco-friendly handmade half hat”), as it is made from old materials that we gave not even a second, but multiple one, quite a worthy new life.

 




Inside, hat has a frame made from old wire found in the attic and a framework crochet from old cotton yarn. 





Lining is made from an old tattered cream wild silk blouse. 



Crochet framework is covered with ice blue silk from old second-hand blouse. 





The hat is decorated with real vintage blue silk rose and silver toned metal with white and blue rhinestones two strings.

 



I chose to pair this half hat with a vintage wrap sundress, circa late 1940s. 




Specifically, these were worn in beginning of 1940s, after the Second World War, as well as in the 1947-1948s.





However, since the dress is too revealing (I don't like dresses that are too revealing), I decided to wear a silk blouse with straps underneath. 





It was a good idea. So the dress became less open, corresponding to my standards.

 




As accessories, I used very romantic and really vintage clip-on earrings with white rhinestones and blue crystals from the 1950s, a modern but beautiful glass medallion and a real vintage matching dress suede handbag from the 1970s-1980s.

I think I got a romantic airy and cool for hot weather look in the style of the late 1940s, more precisely 1947-1948s. 




This outfit allowed me to showcase the half hat made by Alexandrina Wasiliewa-Szylowska and myself. 



In my opinion, we make very good hats.

This outfit is suitable for cool, but not cold autumn, warm winter and warm spring. After receiving this wonderful hat from the Polish hat maker Sylwia Leśniewska from Wroclaw, I almost immediately arranged this photo session. Although it was December, it was warm during the day, but in the late afternoon, an icy wind blew from the mountains and, as always, my head froze. Warm spring outfit in style of early 1960s with real vintage jacket by “Amaryllis”

Since the weather in Spain has once again changed (I've lost its count!) between the extremes, from heat and sun to cold, rain and wind, I continue to share with you my looks from previous photo shoots. This outfit will be very good for a warm, but not very hot and not very cold spring. Or for a cool autumn. Or a warm winter. But when I posed for these photos, it was the end of March, it was cold and overcast. So the outfit was not exactly weather-appropriate, but more because of the hat, not other parts of dress. Fearing the rain, I took a vintage umbrella with me, which I think added a twist to the look. I like the contrast of narrow bottom and loose top. This jacket is just amazing.  I tried to find out something about the brand that produced it, but, unfortunately, there is little information in Internet.
