Very hot autumn outfit in style of 1949-1951s with plaid print: vintage swing skirt and silk hat

The plaid print is extremely simple, but meanwhile very beautiful and elegant.  For some reason, its appearance is attributed to the Scots, but I think that this is not correct. Because the plaid can be found in the national costumes of various countries.  For example, antique plaid skirts were kept in the trunks of my maternal great-great-grandmother until the 1970s.  And she, along with her husband, my great-great-grandfather, came from the Baltics. Probably from there my passion for both the plaid print and puffy skirts.  My great-great-grandmother wore many, many petticoats until her death.   That is why this plaid midi swing skirt by “Liz Claiborne” is so close to me. I bought it on sale in a vintage store, it cost 19 euros, but I bought it for 2! How wonderful are the light and especially all shades of cream-colored hats! But, unfortunately, most of them, if they are vintage, they reach our days, soiled and stained. However, that is not the case with this 1930s one, made of soft and tender but dense ecru silk. The history of my acquisition of this hat is curious. When I first visited Spain some years ago, this hat was already on sale in the local vintage shop. Because I was going through a life crisis, I had a different style and therefore I did not buy it. Later, when I settled in this small town, I visited this vintage shop for several years and the hat had still been sold there.
