Very little time is left before the coming of, perhaps, the most insane series of holidays. Insane in terms of the amount of harm brought to the Nature, and therefore to the Mankind. This includes a bacchanal of shopping for gifts, Christmas trees, Christmas decorations and other nonsense things that pollute the environment to the post-apocalyptic state. But do people think about that? I think no, because they don't talk about that on TV. They talk about pollution from industrial enterprises, about the dangers of cows, chickens or sheep as the main causes of the so-called "global warming". But not a word about how much it costs to the Nature the celebration of their favorite holidays: the Christmas, the first day of the New Year, and the Three Kings. For example, every year around 120 million trees are cut down around the World for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Usually, spruces, pines and fir trees at least 2 meters in height are used. To be honest, I don't like summer. My favorite time of year is spring. I like that it is not hot and not cold, but is comfortable in full dress, that is, in a suit: a skirt or dress with a jacket. When I was a child, I loved summer. Always looked forward to something unusual and exciting. Probably because I read too many children's adventure novels. And the highest temperature then, as a rule, was 30 degrees Celsius, not 40 or 50. Now, having grown and becoming a writer myself, I realized that something unusual and exciting is happening without reference to the season. In general, in Spain, summer is a nightmare. Heat, insects, tourists, dust, burning desert wind, dirty streets, sizzling sun, a minimum of fresh air, a maximum of bad, noise and din... Maybe the reason for my dislike for summer, among other things, lies in the fact that some of my ancestors, after all, were northerners (Lithuanians, English, Celts, Vikings, etc.) and therefore I can’t stand the heat?
