Warm summer outfit in style of early 1960s with real vintage multi-colored dress & flower bud shaped hat

This vintage dress is very beautiful.

I like the print of old and vintage fabrics.

Prints of recent years leaves a lot to be desired. They are faded, blurred and dotted in structure, in a word, "digital" printing.

Unfortunately, digital printing has completely destroyed any alternative and if you look at modern blouses, dresses, bags and other things, you will see that this is digital printing and that this print is very different even from the one that was back in the beginning of this century.

Perhaps for someone it is the pearl of creation, but not for me. Before, the print was different - clear and bright, in my opinion, perfection itself.

When I bought this dress in a vintage store, I was attracted by its bright fabric and beautiful cut.

Later at home I found out that it was also silk!

This dress, typical of the early 1960s, again has something from the Biedermeier era, perhaps sleeves and collar.

This flower bud hat is reminiscent of elves and flower fairies from artworks of English illustrator Cicely Mary Barker and is also typical of the early 1960s.

I bought it in a little Catalan town last year.

The multi-color dress made it possible to combine it with several colors at once.

I chose a yellow hat, pink handbag, belt and necklace, pink/lilac/white bracelet, cream clip-on earrings and cream shoes.

I am wearing:
  • Real vintage multi-colored (light and dark yellow/light blue/lilac/pink/crimson) flower print pure silk knee length dress with fitted bodice with an exaggerated collar, with "V" neckline, with long bishop sleeves with buttons at the cuffs, tulip skirt, about early 1960s
  • (partially seen) Black pure silk petticoat, about 2010s
  • Real vintage yellow pure silk flower bud shaped hat with yellow voile by “United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers International Union”, “Union made” in USA, early 1960s
  • Real vintage silver metal clip-on earrings with faux cream pearls and rhinestones, about 1960s
  • Pink freshwater pearl necklace with sterling silver lock by “Bijou Brigitte”, about 2000s-2010s
  • Pink/lilac/white freshwater pearl and mother-of-pearl 3-strand bracelet by “Bijoux Brigitte”, about 2000s-2010s
  • Pink genuine cow leather belt by “GAP”, about 2000s
  • Pink leather handbag by “Nuria Cobo”, made in Spain, about 2000-2020s
  • Cream leather mid heel shoes, made in Spain, 2020s

This outfit turned out to be very romantic and I think that it is designed in the style of the same time, especially since both the dress and the hat are really vintage items of that particular period!

A typical outfit from the early 1960s with a slight hint of Biedermeier and even fantasy.

I think some Elf or Fairy queen would love to try it on!
