Warm spring outfit in style of early "New Look" with felt saucer hat with felted flowers

This outfit is suitable for cool, but not cold autumn, warm winter and warm spring. After receiving this wonderful hat from the Polish hat maker Sylwia Leśniewska from Wroclaw, I almost immediately arranged this photo session. Although it was December, it was warm during the day, but in the late afternoon, an icy wind blew from the mountains and, as always, my head froze. Unfortunately, my head is very sensitive to the wind, and all my favorite hats, those that are the most beautiful, do not cover ears that are very sensitive to cold. But in any case, the replica hat turned out to be very beautiful and, unlike the original, which was for summer, it can still be worn in the cooler season.

I really like felted flowers, felted to woolen hats and looking like real ones, they are much better than those that are now commonly made from synthetic fabrics and glued to hats. 

Firstly, woolen flowers are more environmentally friendly. 

Secondly, more beautiful. 

Thirdly, more unusual.

Fourthly, more durable. 

I like old or not old, but artisan handmade, durable fashion and things, which will serve for years, not a fast modern fashion and things, which become bad on next day of wearing, or already looks like worn being new.

The dream of mine, the old dream, is to reproduce outfit the famous "Bar suit" by Christian Dior and Grace Kelly's outfit from "Rear window" - "gown with black top and white circle skirt".

This time I tried to reproduce the “Bar suit”, recently getting a wonderful vintage German fitted jacket in the "New Look" style, which, by the way, is very comfortable.

• (partly seen) Cream silk long sleeve button down blouse by “Together!”, about 1990s
• Real vintage beige with black splashes rich wool blend (with a little bit of nylon) pleated midi skirt by “Laurel”, made in Italy, about 1980s
• Ecru pure wool felt picture saucer hat with felted flowers by Modystka Sylwia Leśniewska, Wroclaw, made in Poland, end of 2021, artisan custom made modern replica of 1950s hat
• Real vintage light yellow pure silk scarf with equestrian design of “Derby Club” by “Richel Paris”, made in Italy, about late 1970s-1980s (not older then 1975)
• Real vintage brown wild crocodile belt, made in Germany, about 1950s
• Real vintage brown leather handbag, about 1950s
• Real vintage white peccary leather driving gloves, about late 1960s
• Beige nylon tights, about 1990s
• Bronze leather lace up heel platform shoes, made in RF, about 2010s

I really hope that I got an outfit a la “Bar suit”, especially since this was my first attempt. In any case, I ended up with a late 1940s New Look outfit, with shoes that are still typical of the paramilitary 1940s (and more appropriate for Spain, both in terms of terrain and weather), but with a fitted, feminine silhouette of the 1950s, which comes to replace them (however, a more romantic look, because with a hat decorated with flowers and minimal use of black).
