Very hot autumn outfit in style of 1945-1946s with real vintage bonnet hat with daisies
I like the 1940s even though they are specific - square shoulders, military style and a bit of masculinity.
However, even in this all there is something elusive and enticing.
But again, as with the 1930s, my collection of original early 1940s clothing contains only accessories - hats, clip-on earrings, necklaces, bracelets and bags.
To be honest, when I tried on this outfit, I didn’t know what exactly I could get.
Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a similar silhouette was worn in 1945-1946.
That is, after the end of World War II.
My hat may be from an earlier period, but the similar style was also worn in 1945-1946 and was called the "bonnet hat".
But the daisies make
this hat special. In general, artificial flowers can turn the most modest hat
into a work of art.
I have very few bags older than the 1950s and this wicker bag is one of those few.
I bought it only for 1 złoty in a Polish secondhand.
Thanks to
multi-colored embroidery, this bag can be combined with different colors and
shades.
I like the combination of yellow (mustard) and lilac (lavender), the combination of a narrow straight skirt and a fitted peplum blouse with my pink umbrella, already familiar to you from previous outfits.
It turned out very
bright and cheerful.
It seems to me that it looks a little bit fairytalish in style of "Little Bo-Peep" from late 19th early 20th centuries children books illustrations.
My skirt is from Pierre Cardin. Of course, not early, but late, but still vintage in terms of the period.
I have three pieces from Pierre Cardin, about
the same time (about 1980s) - a silk scarf, a viscose skirt (shown with this outfit) and a baby camel wool jacket.
I am wearing:
- Real vintage mustard yellow wild silk very long button down fitted peplum blouse with elbow length sleeves and ruffled front by “Bestini” (Paris), made in France, about late 1980s - early 1990s
- Real vintage lavender color viscose below knee length straight skirt by “Pierre Cardin” (Paris), made in France, about 1980s
- Real vintage white lacquered straw wide brim bonnet hat with ribbon and daises décor probably by “Modas Flora” (Granada), made in Spain, about 1930s-1940s
- Real vintage gold toned metal with cream enamel pine cone shaped clip-on earrings, about 1950s
- Real vintage cream leather circles and glass beads necklace, about 1940s
- White leather belt by “St. Michael”, made in UK, late 1980s-1990s
- Real vintage natural toned straw with multi-colored raffia flower embroidery handbag with two handles, about 1940s-1950s
- White leather Venetian loafers with mid-high heels, made in Spain, 2010s-2020s
- (on some photos) Pink floral hand painted cloth sun umbrella (parasol) with bamboo handle, about 2000s
I think, I got an outfit in the style of 1945-1946. Less masculine and already more feminine, with less military influence and more peace one.
