Hot summer outfit in style of late 1960s with real vintage mod shift dress & bucket hat

To my regret, since the first half of May began over 30 °C, and from the middle of May, unbearable heat (over 40°C), stuffiness and a burning desert wind have been raging in Spain.

Thus, I wore all the previous outfits before this sad event. In past years in Spain, even in June, it was cool and comfortable. But this year was generally an exception with invasion of the Saharian Calima.

It's hot outside, even for those who are completely naked. However, I try to keep my vintage spirit, without which I simply cannot live, because this is the main incentive and meaning for me.

Although it is very difficult for me to conduct photo shoots, I still try to do them one or two times in one or two weeks, if my condition allows.

So, I'm moving on to outfits for this crazy hot summer.

This dress is very simple and has no lining.

But it's a real vintage.

I think it's about 1966, although it could be 1968.

In any case, it's definitely the late 1960s.

But the hat is from a much earlier period. I bought this hat in the same place as the previous one - yellow in the shape of a flower bud. It's amazing how far American hats are from the American continent!

But if the yellow hat is typical 1960s, this white hat with a white rose is typical 1950s.

However it is possible that a similar style could be worn in the early 1960s and later. In addition, I like to experiment and sometimes to mix clothes from different periods, relying on color harmony and harmony of shapes.

I think that these color and print of the outfit goes well with the pomegranate flowers that served as a background for some of the photos.

Luckily, they didn't have time to wither from the heat then, as they do now. Poor plants along city streets, they're as thirsty as me...

I am wearing:

Real vintage, white with orange and dark orange splashes print pure cotton upper knee sleeveless mod A-line shift dress with Peter Pan collar, about late 1960s

(not seen) Cream pure silk slip dress by “Hoss Intropia”, 2010s-2020s

Real vintage white pure silk bucket hat with silk rose by “United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers International Union”, “Union made” in USA, early/late 1950s

Artisanal handmade 5-strand white freshwater pearls on tan suede necklace, about 1990s-2010s

White leather belt by “St. Michael”, made in UK, late 1980s-1990s

Dark orange real leather with faux crocodile embossed effect clutch with metal bronze color chain by “Etui Bags London”, made in UK, about 2000-2020s

White leather Venetian loafers with mid-high heels, made in Spain, 2010s-2020s

I think, despite the approximate 10 years between the time of making of the hat and dress, I ended up with a look in the style of the late 1960s, supposedly 1966.

And again in the style of Audrey Hepburn.
