Three variants of wearing real vintage wild silk suit
As promised, I'm showing you other variants of wearing of my vintage silk suit.
At first, I wore it as a two-piece suit, because it was too hot for a jacket.
This was my very first experience wearing this costume in August 2021.
This outfit turned out very much in the style of Jacqueline Kennedy - without a belt, with a loose blouse and a pillbox hat.
However, I let the spontaneity and
mischief come into play with a Scotch terrier bag and snake print clip-on
earrings.
In the first variant I am wearing:
- Real vintage light blue 2-piece wild silk suit – short sleeved slim fitted blouse and with slim cut knee length pencil skirt, about 1950s-early 1960s
- Real vintage cream silk pillbox hat with voile, late 1950s-early 1960s
- Real vintage plastic plain yellow and yellow snake print round with triangular drop clip-on earrings, about 1960s
- Light blue leather and cream tapestry with scotch terriers print handbag by “Liz Cox”, Bath, made in England, about 1990s-2000s
- Cream leather mid heel shoes, made in Spain, 2020s
My second experience was less successful due to the weather. The weather
turned bad and it started to rain.
Because of this, the photos turned out not very good.
But on the other
hand, this time I combined a three-piece suit with a silk scarf instead of a
hat and with an umbrella.
In the second variant I am wearing:
- Real vintage light blue 3-piece wild silk suit – nipped waist jacket with long sleeves, short sleeved slim fitted blouse and with slim cut knee length pencil skirt, about 1950s-early 1960s
- White with light/dark blue circles pure silk scarf, 1990s-2010s
- Real vintage silver metal round drop clip-on earrings, about 1960s
- Gray dupioni silk purse with black/blue/grey stripes and metal round handle by “A & A”, about 1990s-2000s
- Cream leather mid heel shoes, made in Spain, 2020s
- Big black umbrella by “Susino”, 2010s (not earlier then 2007)
And now I re-show you my third time experience in mixed style (suit as like
Jacqueline Kennedy, hat as like Audrey Hepburn and necklace as like Gabrielle
Chanel and Marie-Hélène Arnaud), so you can compare it with the previous ones.
In the third variant I am wearing:
- Real vintage light blue 3-piece wild silk suit – nipped waist jacket with long sleeves, short sleeved slim fitted blouse and with slim cut knee length pencil skirt, about 1950s-early 1960s
- Real vintage cream raffia and straw bucket hat with grosgrain ribbon decor by “Acchiardi Clementina”, Torino, made in Italy, late 1950s-early 1960s
- Real vintage silver metal round drop clip-on earrings, about 1960s
- Artisanal handmade 5-strand white freshwater pearls on tan suede necklace, about 1990s-2010s
- White leather belt by “St. Michael”, made in UK, late 1980s-1990s
- Gray dupioni silk purse with black/blue/grey stripes and metal round handle by “A & A”, about 1990s-2000s
- Cream cotton homemade knitted gloves, end of 2020
- Cream leather mid heel shoes, made in Spain, 2020s
So I tried to match the same suit with a few different accessories. Which
variant do you think is more successful?
