How began my journey into the realm of vintage... (part five)

Finally, I enter the final chapter of the retrospective of my fashion experiments.

I was increasingly fascinated by the Middle Ages in four forms - dark, combative, romanticized (inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites) and modernized. And still steampunk, pirates, a modernized version of the Victorian era and the Belle Epoque, until the late 1910s.

I managed to get my hands on a few authentic vintage pieces of clothing - a black astrakhan fur muff, a navy blue suede maxi skirt ("Bagutini pour Cygielman" brand, made in Italy, about 1970-1980s) and a homemade velvet black maxi dress from the late 1960s, with gold splashes print, with an imperial waistline and long sleeves. I also bought in secondhand a long coat made of felted wool, several very long sleeveless dresses made of wool (made in Austria and Bavaria), linen and cotton shirts (also made in Austria and Bavaria), leather, silk and woolen corsets, two fitted coats made of wool blend, leather hood and leather bracers - a replica of medieval, European production.

I made the head jewelry - I fastened a metal pendant to a thin silk ribbon and tied it on the head.

I began to wear more and more velvet maxi skirts, loose velvet jackets and other velvet items, also bought secondhand, from different years of release, from the 2010s, 2000s, and even the 1990s.

My eyebrows by this point had reached their max - they had become the thickest in my entire life, so Frida Kahlo herself would have been touched by them! My hair was long, but it cannot be said that it was the longest, because as a child I wore a very long braid, trying to get closer to Rapunzel...

But after 2020, a new crisis began in my life. I wanted something different in clothes. As a response to these desires, a new vintage clothing store opened nearby, and I was again drawn to the 1930-1960s, into the realm of sophistication and femininity. I have started collecting hats again, many of which I will show in future posts, along with my new vintage looks!
