Cool/warm spring outfit in style of early 1960s with real vintage tulip dress & bubble toque hat
I like the idea of vintage fashion, where you can wear a blouse or turtleneck under décolleté of a dress. It is expedient, comfortable, hygienic, elegant, unusual and vintage. Also, I don't like décolleté in general, because it's too modern, and modern fashion is not my thing. In addition, the décolleté in a woolen dress is annoying.
Therefore, in this outfit, I put on a black linen blouse under a brown woolen dress. Together with black accessories - hat, gloves and shoes, it created the necessary color spots, combined with the black check of the jacket.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the hat. It's very unusual. On the one hand, it is made of soft material - cotton, but if compressed, it always returns to its original shape. And on the other hand - at a distance it creates the illusion that this is astrakhan! Also, this hat is versatile. It is warm in cool weather and cool in warm weather.
Without a jacket, this outfit is ideal for warm weather, and with a jacket for cool one. I wore it in mixed warm-cool weather in the first half of April.
I am wearing:
- Real vintage brown with black/cream checker pure wool long sleeve fitted jacket, made in Italy, about 1960s-1970s
- Black linen long sleeve blouse, about 2010s
- Real vintage brown pure wool knee length tulip shape dress with long sleeve by “Choses”, made in Italy, about 1970s-1980s
- Real vintage black cotton bubble toque hat, about late 1950s-early 1960s
- Real vintage brown wild crocodile belt, made in Germany, about 1950s
- Artisan hand-made light brown with black splashes nubuck leather shoulder bag, about 1990s-2000s
- Black leather gloves with zip décor, about 2010s
- Real vintage brown tights with diagonal pattern with rectangle lines, about 1960s
- Leather black slip on shoes with mid-high heels, 2010s-2020s, made in Spain
I again got the early 1960s look (cut - 1961, length 1962-1964), as the skirt slightly exposes the knee. The bubble toque hat is also typical of the period. A strict and elegant outfit, but at the same time a little flirty due to tights and a tulip skirt.
